Oman Cables was established in 1984 by the former Chairman, Mr Mustafa Mukhtar Al Lawati and former Director, Mr Hussain Salman Al Lawati.

Oman Cables Industry is a well known and popular cable manufacturer in Oman with offices in UAE, Qatar, KSA, Asia, and Europe. With a network of Agents, Distributors and personal Sales efforts, the company is well established in Kuwait, Jordan, North African countries, Sub-Sahara Africa and continues to develop new markets.

Our Facilities

Oman Cables has two manufacturing plants with four factories in Rusayl Industrial Estate, Muscat, Oman to manufacture cables and wires and also has a PVC and PP filler plant at the same location. The Muscat location also is home to Advanced Testing Laboratory (ATL) which facility is also hosting the training center. ACSR and AAAC conductors are supplied by OAPIL in Sohar Industrial Estate, Sohar, Oman.

Advanced Testing Lab (ATL)

"The Advanced Testing Laboratory (ATL) is the only facility in the region capable of performing these tests."

The Advanced Testing Laboratory (ATL) is established to do the long term ageing to test the life of the cables.

The objective of this lab is to verify the performance of Medium Voltage Cables in severe hot water conditions by application of 3 times the working voltage of the cables. Such stimulation tests on cables after the above conditions are subjected to breakdown voltage. Refecting the highest voltage for different raw materials used. Such tests help in choosing the best raw materials for Medium Voltage Cables.

The Advanced Testing Laboratory (ATL) is the only facility in the region capable of performing these tests.
